 मेरी पसंदीदा फिल्मों में से एक है इकबाल। मुझे नसीरुद्दीन शाह का संवाद बहुत पसंद आया जब एक अमीर खिलाड़ी (गिरश कर्नाड) का कोच चयन प्रक्रिया में हेरफेर करने की कोशिश करता है और उसे पैसे की पेशकश करता है और समझौता करने की कोशिश करता है जिससे इस साल दूसरे खिलाड़ी का चयन हो जाएगा और इकबाल अगले वर्ष। फिर नसीरुद्दीन शाह कहते हैं, ''मैं बहुत दिनों से उन सभी लोगों से कहना चाहता था जो मेरे शुभचिंतक होने का दिखावा करते हैं कि भाड़ में जाओ.'' यह शुभचिंतक पंथ इतना असहनीय क्यों है? संभवतः दो कारक हैं. सबसे पहले, अधिकांश समय शुभचिंतक केवल चालाकी करने की कोशिश करते हैं। वे दूसरों को प्रभावित करके अपना लक्ष्य हासिल करने की कोशिश करते हैं। हमें हर जगह ऐसी कई स्थितियों का सामना करना पड़ता है। संगठनों में हम ऐसे ही हेरफेर देखते हैं जहां नियोक्ता हितैषी होने का दिखावा करते हैं और अपने छोटे-छोटे फायदों के लिए कर्मचारियों का शोषण करते हैं। दुर्योधन कर्ण का शुभचिंतक था और इस प्रक्रिया में उसने कुरुक्षेत्र के युद्ध में पांडवों के खिलाफ कर्ण का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए उसकी भावनाओं में हेरफेर किया। ...

One of my favorite movies is Iqbal. I loved the dialogue of Nasiruddin Shah when the coach of a rich player (Girsh Karnad) tries to manipulate the selection process and offers money to him for Iqbal and tries to negotiate a compromise whereby the other player will get selected this year and Iqbal next year. Then Nasiruddin Shah says "For a long time I wanted to say to everybody who pretends to be my well-wisher that go to hell". Why this well-wisher cult is so unbearable? There are two factors probably. Firstly, most of the time well-wishers just try to manipulate. They try to achieve their own goals by manipulating others. We come across many such situations everywhere. In organizations, we see similar manipulations where the employers pretend to be well-wishers and for their small benefit, they exploit the employees. Duryodhana was a wellwisher of Karna and in the process manipulated the emotions of Karna to use him against Pandavas in the battle of Kurukshetra. As long as ...
