The Quantum world and the Spiritual Journey

One of the most captivating discoveries of the day is the Higgs Field. CERN experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) confirmed the existence of the Higgs field in 2012 by discovering the Higgs boson, a ripple in that field. This field fills the universe and gives mass to elementary particles. The Higgs field is an invisible energy field that permeates the entire universe and gives mass to fundamental particles. Without it, particles would rush through space at the speed of light, and atoms could never form.

There has hardly been any research in the field of consciousness. Karl H. Pribham conducted many experiments on plants. He discovered that the plants can read human intentions. Meaning thereby that if we intend to uproot a plant, the plant reads that and emits stress photons, which can, in turn, be read by a photometer. In fact, experiments were carried out showing that if a plant is regularly watered by a person, and the person travels thousands of miles away from the plant and is involved in an accident there, the plant emits stress photons. That led to the theory of the holographic universe, which holds that the whole universe is connected at the level of the field and that the divisions are illusory.

We have read many stories about mystics who could see the future and connect with other human beings without the aid of their sensory organs. We have heard many such stories about Ramana Maharishi, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Paramhansa Yogananda, etc. I am not a Physicist who could relate all these. In fact, the greatest Physicists of the day too have no clue about the true nature of the universe. However, I have done some research in Astrology and have noticed the peculiar nature of the nine planets around which the whole of Astrology revolves. I feel that it would be better to call these planets the nine forces of nature. Three being mental forces: Mercury, Rahu, and Ketu. Three being energy forces: Jupiter, Mars, and Venus. And the remaining three are causal forces: Moon, Sun, and Saturn. I don't know how it works, but I have seen that the impact of these forces during their Dasha is very precise and visible. That means the founding fathers of Astrology could observe the mechanism by which these forces work inside us. They could also observe the relation between these forces and the movement of the planets in the solar system.

It does not appeal to logic. I rejected astrology outright until 2010 and 2011, when I suddenly felt inspired to study it. I have been studying it and conducting research for the last 15 years. I am still unsure how it works, but it works very precisely. If the entire universe is holographic and if the Higgs field pervades the whole of the universe, why can't Astrology work? However, by the same logic, we should accept all forms of black magic, which mostly operate on the placebo effect and mental projections. The human brain has very little awareness about the body itself, let alone the universe. We don't really know which bacteria and viruses our immunity is busy fighting right now.

When we close our eyes and undertake a journey into our inner world, which we call meditation, what's the role of the brain? The brain is a complex web of neurons, and when electrons move through it, we have thoughts. But the electrons, like any other sub-atomic particles, have their genesis from the Higgs Field. What if our brain itself is the cage that prevents us from knowing reality? But do we have some other tool to experience reality? If not, when we have certain experiences in the meditative state, how do we measure their authenticity? They may be simply hallucinations and projections of the brain.

When we examine each and every part of our body with the support of our breath, we experience so many different things. However, when the meditator tries to translate those experiences through his brain and the words, he finds the faculty of cognition and the language grossly insufficient, and then he chooses to stay silent. However, Ramakrishna also took many years to overcome the imagination of Kali, until Totapuri Maharaj helped him cut through the image of Kali with a symbolic sword. Mind is an expert hallucinator. There is a very thin line between the real and imaginary in the inner world, and that's why quite often one false belief may take us away from reality by leaps and bounds. That's why I feel that discrimination is like a rocket that takes a satellite to its destination. It consumes a lot of fuel, but the premature release of the satellite and the rocket's drop will result in the wasteful destruction of both. That's why discrimination, though difficult to hold on to, is necessary so that we do not fall into the trap of some blind faith.

A Comfortable Life full of Fears

Why did Buddha reject the offer of a comfortable life as a prince from his father? Why do most people grab such an opportunity? Why do most people struggle all through their lives to get such a comfortable life? It is because most people can't see what Buddha could see. That is exactly why Buddha wanted to tell the secret to the entire world.  Buddha asked questions to his charioteer about disease and death. He could have closed his eyes to the suffering of the people and sat happily inside his palace. But he enquired into the nature of death and diseases, the old age and pains thereof. He asked whether anyone can avoid suffering, and came to know that it is not possible to avoid the sufferings of old age, diseases, and death. He was determined to find a solution and therefore delved deeper and deeper into the nature of suffering and its source. His inner journey revealed the secrets that he shared with the whole world. The real cause of suffering is ignorance.  We form ...

A "home" decorated with "bonsai"

Somebody gifted a plant sometime back. When I look at the plant on the Table, it appears to me as if the plant had the potential to grow into a big tree, but we confined the little plant within the limits of the pot, and it has grown strangely. It has a thick stem but has small leaves and branches. We have designed the plants to look the way we like. What "I" want is more important than what the "plant" is. The plant will grow the way "I" like it to grow. And then, "I" would also claim that "I" love the plant.  Yesterday, I went to a coaching institute to get some test series for a competitive exam for my daughter. The guide there spoke for around 40-45 minutes on the risks and chances of getting selected in different competitive examinations. So much competition. Fear is instilled into the minds of the students from the very beginning. Everything is around fear. If they are not able to get enrolment in a professional course , they wi...

Kurukshetra Within Ourselves

I watched the Netflix series Kurukshetra today. It's a wonderfully made series and, in fact, made me recall my childhood series of the Mahabharata that used to be telecast on DD. Mahabharata is magical. The most magical thing about the Mahabharata is that it has no straitjacket definition of Dharma . The entire battle of Kurukshetra is for Dharma, and everybody feels that he is fighting the battle for Dharma.  When Bhishma realises that Vichitravirya needs to be married, he goes to the Swamvara of Amba, Ambika, and Ambalika and forcefully brings them to Hastinapur . Ambika and Ambalika are married to Vichitravirya, while Amba carries out penance to take revenge on Bhishma. Why did Bhishma bring these three girls against their wishes to Hastinapur? If Vichitravirya wanted to marry, he should have shown courage and participated in the Swamvara. After all, Swamvara meant that the girls wanted to marry the most courageous person. Bhishma deprived them of their rights for his attac...
