At the quantum scale, the double-slit experiment has always fascinated me. How can an electron behave like a wave until and unless observed, and behave like a particle with observation? That's quite strange. That means an electron is full of all kinds of possibilities unless observed, and becomes fixed with a linear possibility as soon as it is observed.
What applies to the electron may also be the universal rule. Why do some human beings on this Earth explore far more than the rest of the people? Probably because they do not get fixated on their beliefs. Our society, parents, and peers judge us from the beginning. They tell us so many things about us. If parents have two kids, they will keep telling their attributes to everybody. The elder one is intelligent, while the younger one is not. The elder one is sincere, while the younger one is not. They observe the child and assign certain attributes to the child. Since that thing is repeatedly told to the child, he also somehow identifies with those attributes and gets fixated. Just like the electron magically turning into a particle post observation.
It so happens in society, organisations, and also the relationships. We tend to assign certain attributes to an individual. Slowly, those attributes shape the social image of that person, and he gets trapped in that. Consciously or unconsciously, we keep trying to prove that image to be correct. We forget the infinite possibilities that we have within us. Somebody gets an image of being sincere, and lives all through his life in fear of denting his image. Somebody gets an image of being careless, and he lives all through his life not caring because caring for somebody needs time and energy, and since society has already considered him to be careless, he enjoys that freedom from expectations. Thus, very early in our childhood, we get fixated on a particular image and turn into particles to live a life on a charted path with little scope for experimentation.
What if all of us have nature like waves, full of infinite possibilities and have turned into particles just as a result of these judgments? What if the social images and self-images we carry are just a result of the judgments and beliefs? What if that wavy nature, full of infinite possibilities, will come back to us, the moment we stop giving importance to these judgments and beliefs? That looks very difficult. What if this perception of difficulty is also a defence mechanism of those judgments and beliefs only? Have we seen somebody being hypnotised? In that state, the hypnotised person may actually feel paralysed and may find it almost impossible to lift their hand. However, once hypnosis ends, it's quite natural to lift the hand. Self-hypnosis is very difficult to handle. It is because there is no "Other" person who will snap his fingers and end the hypnosis. The same "I" wants that hypnosis to continue, and the same "I" wants that to be over. That's why the harder we try to get out of the hypnosis, the deeper the grip of that hypnosis. It is as if that "I" has a spy in the form of us, and whatever we do gets transmitted to that "I" so that it can make a better strategy. That's why, probably, the only way out is questioning "Who am I?". That frees us from that hypnosis. However, that leaves us naked in the beginning, and most people are unable to bear that and grab some clothes to wrap themselves up, unable to realise that they have once again turned "wave" into a "particle".
