The Sun and the Milky Way

I was listening to a video from Dr Alok Pandey on Auromaa YouTube channel this morning when a sudden thought came to my mind. In the video, Dr Pandey was talking about the impossibility of the existence of this universe had there not been ignorance. The aware self would naturally merge back into the divine. It may not be separated from the divine thereby denying the possibility of the existence of this universe. This universe exists because of a sense of separation, which may be called ego. Probably ego is acting as a centrifugal force that prevents the revolving worlds from merging into the Core.

The ego has the same fundamental nature as that of the Divine. It wants to expand. It is also full of all the possibilities since it is basically part of the Divine. However, since it loses awareness of that connection with the Divine, it feels narrow and limited. Out of this feeling of narrowness, it feels insecure and it wants to expand like the Divine. However, even if a drop of the ocean has the same qualities as the ocean itself, yet it is not the ocean. It is by its very nature very limited so long as it does not merge into the ocean. Whatever effort a drop of water makes, it can not become an ocean.

If the awareness of the divine acts as a centripetal force that makes us merge with the divine, and the ego acts as a centrifugal force that takes us away from the divine, is there any possibility where the expansion is also led by the centripetal force of the Divine? Essentially what I mean to ask is whether the centrifugal force of the ego may be based on the union of the ego with the Divine rather than their separatedness? A question arises if ego unites with the Divine, where is the scope for centrifugal force. What if the Divine itself wants to explore its potential through ego? What if the Divine itself pushes the ego to expand?

Probably, if the ego can connect to the Divine, its fears and insecurities will go away. The centrifugal force of the ego will no longer be based on its own expansion. Since it is fully secure now, the basis of the centrifugal force will now be the will of the divine to expand. As if the ego will take a detour from the orbit around the Sun for its self-interest to enter the orbit around the center of the Milky Way where the orbit of the ego is not limited to an ellipse rather it has spiral loose ends with infinite possibilities of expansion.

However, I am not very sure how the shift of the ego from a limited orbit around the Sun can transform into a spiral pathway like the Milky Way. The day-to-day struggles of life make us more and more insecure. We tend to become quite fixated on the orbit around the Sun to protect our existence. These insecurities increase at the unconscious level with the passage of time. I feel that the foundations of this transformation are laid quite early. It is quite difficult for an insecure mind to leave the security it gets from orbiting around the Sun. As we grow old, these fears go deeper and deeper. More and more such fears gain strong grounds in our unconscious psyche leaving title scope for their examination.

However, if we can be a little aware of what is going on, preferably a little early in our lives, we can see clearly the limitations of orbiting around the Sun and the infinite possibilities of the spiral expansion of the Milky Way. Once we see that, why would we restrict our existence to that narrow orbit? It just needs a little attention and nothing else. There are always blank spaces during the day where attention is not occupied by the Sun. If we become aware of these blank spaces, to begin with, they can take us far ahead in self-examination. I am very sure that ego being part of the intelligence is not that stupid to waste itself in such a limited orbit around the Sun, once it becomes aware of the possibility of the spiral pathway around the center of the Milky Way.

Why life is so stressful?

The present-day society is the most comfortable in the entire history of humanity. We have invented machines to carry out work at home, have built highways, can fly conveniently across countries, have comfortable homes, have information of almost every kind at our fingertips, and also have AI to help us make use of the information. Advances in robotics have made many apparently impossible tasks quite easy to perform. Yet, so many countries are at war, people are suffering from psychological disorders, depression, there are broken relationships everywhere, and people are under tremendous stress. What has gone wrong in the process? Why is development not bringing happiness? Because we have chosen "comforts" over "growth". Because we have chosen "fear" over "love". Doesn't that sound strange? Why would somebody choose "fear" over "love"? Probably, we are not aware of it while making these choices. Our unconscious mind process...

A Comfortable Life full of Fears

Why did Buddha reject the offer of a comfortable life as a prince from his father? Why do most people grab such an opportunity? Why do most people struggle all through their lives to get such a comfortable life? It is because most people can't see what Buddha could see. That is exactly why Buddha wanted to tell the secret to the entire world.  Buddha asked questions to his charioteer about disease and death. He could have closed his eyes to the suffering of the people and sat happily inside his palace. But he enquired into the nature of death and diseases, the old age and pains thereof. He asked whether anyone can avoid suffering, and came to know that it is not possible to avoid the sufferings of old age, diseases, and death. He was determined to find a solution and therefore delved deeper and deeper into the nature of suffering and its source. His inner journey revealed the secrets that he shared with the whole world. The real cause of suffering is ignorance.  We form ...

A "home" decorated with "bonsai"

Somebody gifted a plant sometime back. When I look at the plant on the Table, it appears to me as if the plant had the potential to grow into a big tree, but we confined the little plant within the limits of the pot, and it has grown strangely. It has a thick stem but has small leaves and branches. We have designed the plants to look the way we like. What "I" want is more important than what the "plant" is. The plant will grow the way "I" like it to grow. And then, "I" would also claim that "I" love the plant.  Yesterday, I went to a coaching institute to get some test series for a competitive exam for my daughter. The guide there spoke for around 40-45 minutes on the risks and chances of getting selected in different competitive examinations. So much competition. Fear is instilled into the minds of the students from the very beginning. Everything is around fear. If they are not able to get enrolment in a professional course , they wi...
